I have a question. I don't plan to play Genshin but is their any "in-game" mind control sequences at all? Possession? Basic hypnotism? Anything?

I don't know what you mean by "in-game", but there several scens in Sumeru that have possession or mind control. I wish I recorded them.

@DrWaffles Sumeru is the name of a country ingame.

Outside of Sumeru, the closest thing you get is the loss of ambition from what happens in Inazuma (country based off Japan), i.e memory loss, depression, and a personality change.
