Remember the Kunino-sagiri boss from Persona 4? In there, he temporarily takes control of your party members and turns them against you for a few turns, if I remember correctly, especially at the third phrase. In the anime adaptation, he takes control of Yu's body, forcing him to attack his friends with his Personas. But after hearing Nanako's words, he regains control to fight back and break free to save her, but at the cost of burning his hand from touching the control device above him and destroying his bead ring.

Btw, this is one of my favorite parts from the Persona 4 anime

Anyone else think its kind of weird that mind control abilities work on Persona users?

Like, the entire schtick of having a Persona, is that the Persona is you, you are the Persona.

You would think that would make you resistant to most mind control abilities, but in every game the MC and pals can get Marin Karind

Also, I watched this whole anime and enjoyed it, I feel like the exploration of Personas was a bit glossed over though.
