You know. Ryuko NOT being brainwashed would've had viewers say "ugh more plot armor" but my personal opinion, her being brainwashed TWICE just goes to show how weak minded she is. And that's upsetting cause she does have a strong will anyways.

You guys put way too much stock in this completely ambiguous concept of willpower and "weak mind" vs. "strong mind." It's fictional mind control. It doesn't follow some mathematical formula. It works if the writers want it to work.

Falling under mind control doesn't make a character "weak willed" or "weak minded" or "secretly a hypnofetishist."
