You know, Wonder Woman using the one weapon that can defeat her as her primary weapon is a bit like Superman going into fights with kryptonite dusters.

Given that she regularly fights divine, semidivine, or otherwise mythological beings, it sort of follows that any weapon powerful enough to be useful to her would be powerful enough to be a threat to her if taken away.

Its still a little weird, Hephaestus couldnt be bothered to put some basic security on the thing?

I just feel like it is a little weird that its easier to get a divine artifact made for a superhero to work, than it is to get a phone unlocked

Like others have mentioned, Wonder Woman's creator was very kinky. He was a psychologist, and wrote multiple papers about how willing submission to loving authority will lead to pleasure. So I'm guessing a great amount of what we find kinky about Wonder Woman was probably intentional.
