Imperialdramon is one of my top ten. Digimon is so much better than pokemon. Better script, better story, and they didn't take almost 30 years to get a new protagonist. So the new ones may have trouble being accepted because they took so long

@/HypnoHammer You know I wanna agree with you because I just got off watching Digimon Ghost Game and the characters are very well written unlike Pokemon.

Digimon Adventure wasn't so bad but I prefer Ghost Game a bit more. And like I said I'm easing my way into the Digimon franchise bit by bit.

Pokemon...*sigh* Not only am I happy they recent ended Ash's story but this upcoming anime in April will have a BRAND NEW writing staff so hopefully these new characters aren't poorly written. And you're right, these new characters are going to have a difficult time easing with the fandom now that Ash's story is over. And the sakuga community already hates it (because the sakuga community hates anything that doesn't have characters making dumb faces like Sun & Moon instead of being more analytical about other shows).

And honestly I'm getting into Digimon because I see mons like
Imperialdramon and as a picture it looks pretty "stiff" but then I see it animated and I'm like "Whoa that's pretty cool". It's like that with Pokemon. Back when Hawlucha was first announced it looked pretty dumb. Then I saw it in the anime series and I'm like "Whoa that's pretty cool".

I'm rambling I'm sorry but what I'm getting at is, weather or not a certain Digimon show like 02 or Tamers for example has a good narrative or not, I just wanna see the mons animated in a fight scene and a well animated fight scene.

@DrWaffles I have yet to finish Ghost Game, left it halfway when it came out, waiting for it to be finished to binge it. But I can see where you come from since Ghost Game is more recent. If what you enjoy is mons animated, then I recommend you give the OVA "Digimon: Our war Game" a watch, shit was my childhood and so amazing it inspired a movie, "Summer Wars".

@/DisgustedHypnotist You know you mention that and it reminded me of a funny story. I got into Digimon because of Omnimon/Omegamon. It's not because of that movie. I heard about the Adventure 2020 reboot and watched a few episodes and then I see Omegamon and I'm like "Whoa that dude looks cool what's an Omegamon?!?" And I was doing some digging to get information about it but I've read comments all like "Uhh what's Omegamon doing here?!" "Oh it's Tri all over again" so I guess I'm just surprised to see such a Digimon but the rest of the crowd was just flabbergasted to see it there lol.

@DrWaffles Omegamon is one of the best indeed, and Im on that side of the crowd I guess, Adventure 2020 was a big dissappointment for me. I wont go into much detail since I abandoned it after episode 25-30 but Im guessing what people ment with "Whats he doing here?" or "Its tri again" is basically that both at the begining of Adventure 2020 and on Tri they use Omegamon too much and it takes away from the story, when in "our war game", his first appearance, it was looked more like it was a 1 time save epic moment, and how easy to access he becomes on Tri and the beginning of 2020 kind of takes away from his impact. But yeah if you like Omegamon, you really gotta watch Our War Game. I cant comment on 2020, I'd have to sit down and finish it first, and Tri is just, really bad, animation and the fight scenes wise is amazing "because budget" but story wise......
