She is really hypnotized, in the episode lupin was hypnotized to steal something, this was a plot made by fujiko and a wealthy mother the mother want lupin to get excecuted, and let her son have fujiko.
At the end lupin learns hypnosis he used it on the son to change places and at the end of the episode lupin used the hypnosis on Fujiko, unfortunately this is the only scene.

Lupin is a series Id love to really get into. Though I kinda want to start at Part 4 too >.>
