Before you've even begun to move, it seems your ancient tome brings witches on the winds. There's a 50/50 chance that she will appear for this same arrangement (with new spells), should you crack at the books again.
Nobody said getting intel back was easy. That said, some of these spells could definitely benefit you, or at least aren't as bad as they seem, but all the same, it is a risk. How much faith do you have in her interpretations?

I vote B.

I don't think we'll actually get out of this without her casting anything so D just wastes our luck.

C is the most dangerous.

A has the potential to be really good for us, but it also could be really bad if it somehow hurts our Valor more, for instance giving one point from Valor to Endurance.

That makes B our best choice with A as a runner-up.

I am tempted for C. especially since little miss witch here might be the victim of it. But I am going to have to vote B. We cant risk losing Valor and it seems to at least Boost a stat rather than drain.. giving some leeway to the consequences of actions

B just overall seems like the best option. I see no downsides to it.
