I mean. This is rape, as is most of the content on this site. Personally, I draw the line at "denying bodily autonomy" and "psychological manipulation" long before I even get to whether or not the guy is homophobic. Kind of weird that dehumanizing slurs are a turn off, but literally dehumanizing someone by taking away their own sense of self ISN'T a turn off...

Also, comparing "I don't believe that you can control my mind" to Covid denial is absolutely ludicrous, lmao

First off, "I don't like the scene" and "I don't like the character" are two different critiques that are the results of two (or more) completely different sets of circumstances.

First off, the character and scene are inexorably linked. The scene is defined by actions, and actions define the characters. A scene where hypnosis takes place means there exists a character willing to so deeply violate another person - calling out the sub here and not calling out doms on 90% of other posts for far worse behavior seems like a double standard.

I actually enjoy hypnosis in a sort of schadenfreude sense, similar to my thoughts on gore, animated fight scenes, playing a conqueror in Civilization games, etc. - I acknowledge that it would be horrible to do these things in real life, yet still enjoy these dark thoughts.

I mainly made an account to clown on the person who compared "acknowledging that fictional mind control isn't accurate to real life, or not understanding how actual hypnosis works" to "living in denial and deliberately worsening a pandemic out of spite."

Admittedly, I was cross with that comment and was too snarky about yours. It's absolutely fine to simultaneously enjoy something fucked up and hate something less fucked up - I do the same. It's a double standard... but it's also fiction. Since it's a fetish site, nobody is going to call it out, so seeing somebody call out something ELSE, in conjunction with the Covid comment, the many "oooh I'd love to do this" comments on other posts, and the SHOCKING lack of "rape" tags on this site conjured up the image of somebody trying to explain how mind control ISN'T immoral, which I had to correct.

Actual mind control methods like cults, gaslighting, propoganda, drugging, etc. are extremely dangerous. If you respect yourself enough to stay away from people who don't respect you, then ABSOLUTELY avoid people who want to control or hurt you. But I'm sure that the "I'd love to do this" comments are exaggerated for the sake of role play, and in real life, you and most people here acknowledge how dangerous these things can be.

Apologies for being rude in my delivery. I stand by what I said regarding the immorality of mind control, and that way more posts here need dubious consent or rape tags. But I made the unfair assumption that you saw something wrong with one thing and didn't see anything wrong with the other, and my tone was unwarranted.

Ya Id have to say despite the fact most if not all of us here on the sight get off to what 99% of the general population would see as horrendous shit that denies any and all consent, drawing the line at slurs is a personal choice but in my opinion, a stupid one.
