Before and after wearing the Pink Shoes

As you can see the Pink Shoes are just a normal pair of shoes that happen to be pink and wearing them is completely safe. Why does he have that look on his face? The shoes werent his size, totally nothing else

For context, Pink Shoes is an enitity in the game Limbus Company. The shoes lure/charm people into wearing them, promising to help them reach their desires and increasing their urges. People who put on the shoes end up tangled in pink ribbons, shrouding their mind and removing the inhibition and will to resist their own desires, no matter what they could be.
It also appears to be more closely linked to pleasure related desires.
