I'm trying to understand. Was she freed from slavery, or added to an army of....clones?

She was added. Its a game where your some villain leader trying to take over the country and theres a team of magical girls that stand in your way. So you isolate them and capture them one by one and put them through mental conditioning, get them obsessed with sex then brainwash them.

This girl in particular had a strand of her hair taken and it created an army of clones. Once you defeat her and capture her she has her memories erased and she becomes part of that army. Other magical girls are quite different but they still get captured and brainwashed in their own way. Its an okayish game, good ideas but its not entirely about brainwashing, one girl has her breasts expanded for instance
