Backstory from artist:

The King of Red Lions' will has been broken after countless days in Ganondorf's dungeon, his fall helped along by his captor's dark magics too of course. In the end the fallen king surrendered both the location of the triforce pieces, as well as himself, willingly. Now he relishes his permanent place in the dungeons, eagerly serving both the new king of darkness and his endless hordes of monstrous minions in any way they choose.
