So what the hell is the Hiss? The text is unreadable in the entire pool, so that doesn't help.

The Hiss is a combination of a resonant tone and string of nearly nonsensical words that so virulently get stuck in your head that they corrupt you and make you a vector for spreading it. It also distorts reality in its proximity.

It's from Control, which I thought I tagged here but I guess not. But no tag specifically for the hiss itself.
