I get this is your story and all but Ive actually been wondering..

Why are the aliens affected by the brainwashing of their bodies? They havent been brainwashed at all (except baxie, thats the exception)

But like.. why does it work on them? They havent had any exposure to mind control before this soooo

The way I think of the possession working is that it's still the same person by any objective standards, but their mind has suddenly switched from thinking their own thoughts to thinking someone else's thoughts. That accounts for how the aliens are able to access memories and emotions of their hosts, because they literally are their hosts. There's no separation, the host's mind turns into the mind of the alien for as long as they're possessed for. And if the brain they're using to think with is under mind control, housing the consciousness of the alien won't change that.

@Thalarynth, congrats, that successfully hurts my brain. It's interesting how the aliens can make the brain not formulate memories via electrochemical impulses, and that's honestly... kinda rad.

Also baxie's a bit of a derp here, coulda used that opening to go "Actually I'd prefer Becca's body" and save themselves a bunch of headache XD

@suvasam Oops, that is a bit of a plothole there, for Baxie not to jump on the chance to enter Becca. Let's just say the alien currently in her would have refused the offer to swap bodies due to enjoying being her too much or something.
