Honestly? I'm not a fan of the whole theme thing. I mean, it's nice to have the influx of images, but I can't help but feel it stifles creativity. Makes people feel like they have to make stuff related to the theme.

You're entitled to your respectable opinion, but I'd argue that no one in their right mind is going to do a theme other than the one they want to do just because we have a monthly theme running. I'll bet you anything that a very large chunk of content (as in, all but one or two pieces, if even) that is made for the theme would not have had an alternative other-theme version if we didn't have our new monthly theme scheme.
I just have a hard time imagining anyone truly feeling forced to make content specifically for our monthly theme and only for our monthly theme in lieu of other themes they want to do. It's far, far more likely that content creators will just make what they otherwise would as well as something for the monthly theme, which is kind of the point.
In other news, I have now written the word "theme" far too much in too short a span of words.

I fully understand what you mean, it's just I can't help but notice when any site goes for a monthly theme, that most of the content is related to that theme, for better or worse. Might simply be confirmation bias, but it still bothers me.

Chill. We've had like an average post a day for theme. I also post other stuff and I do this because prompts are fun.
I've done a little non-theme manip work but I like to stagger my releases and not release 4-5 things in one week and then nothing for over a month, so in a way, yes, this has displaced non-theme stuff... but it'll all get uploaded sooner or later. ;)
