Mindwipe said there is a way for images to be in two pools in the IRC.. but I forgot to ask how. >< I am not succeeding at figuring it out..

That's what I thought at first, but when I click 'add to pool' it has the Oops october pool already selected, so I'm worried changing the drop down menu would remove it from the oops october one. xD

I call bullshit on that. I used a reference image, exactly because it was an awkward pose that I wanted to get the perspective right on. I didn't TRACE it because that would be cheating but look for yourself.

Are you saying this real life person is anatomically incorrect? because there are only minor variances as far as anatomy goes between the reference and the picture. (mostly the neck, because hair is no longer in that area and pseudo-anime style necks are thinner than real necks, and the legs are in a slightly different position, but not by much)

I don't want to come across as rude, but feedback is more valuable than silently ticking the "flag for deletion" box. and In this particular case, I really don't see anatomy as being SO far off the reference that it is a QC problem of it's own.

Not to pile on, but the source and this aren't that similar. The one presented is almost an abstract, and that seems to be the major objection, or in other words the lack of photorealism. Granted, anime lacks that in general, but this does it in a different fashion. Most people, after all, find abstracts jarring. I think its a great start, seriously, but I get the objection, and honestly would have had to resist the flag button myself. Keep up the work, and I mean that.

Okay, you're being ridiculously defensive about this. You can "call bullshit" on whatever you want, but it won't make her arm look less like a noodle, her breasts look less like cut pancakes, or her skull look less like it was run over by a steamroller. If you see no severe anatomical and symbol drawing issues with this you either need to put your glasses on or take them off, whichever applies. Don't bother trying to refute those problems one by one or whatever; those things I mentioned are symptoms of underlying problems that are going to effect every part of everything you draw until you take a step back down and figure out how to suggest form within a structure (particularly a body.) Hence why I suggest Vilppu, because that is what he is excellent at teaching.
