as with windwipe, I get many pictures from various image collections - I do my best to find a source, but that doesn't always pan out easily

No, because the point is to show where the image originally came from. Where the artist posted it. Where people can go to see more from the artists and give them favorites, reblogs, comments, and all of that directly. No image board lets you do that, and 99.9999% of the time, images there were just reposted from somewhere else. Now, maybe this image was posted on Gelbooru by a commissioner and it really doesn't exist on any of the artist's personal galleries. That's fine, but I would still put a link to his/her tumblr over an image board link.

In Gelbooru a person is more likely see more art from the same artist, since it's not limited to hypno only. But in the case of not having anything at all, there's just nothing.

It's Modeseven's own work since there only the tag "#my art". If it was a commission, Modeseven would have noted it.
