Shinka had gone to investigate the Kanu tribe, she was just a young student of antropology but she had a great fascination for the tribes that still survive alone in the XXI century.

Shinka's parents constantly got new mail and post cards, apparently the tribe had a initiation rite and they wanted Shinka to try, if she managed to pass she would become an honorary kanu and she just couldn't reject that chance, she didn't know much of the rite, just that it implied chewing some very special and hard to get herbs.

After that Shinka lost contact with her parents for almost five years, her parents feared the worst, even if the Kanu didnt had any precedence of being cannibals or being violent at all. Finally Shinka sent a postcard that surprised them in a big way.

Not only her incredible physical change and the new three grandchildren that they now had, ( with a fourth one on the way) surprised them most that in the postcard there was a written note in a weird language, when Shinka's parents went for her teachers in her university, they gave this translation:

I, Shinka, daughter of Makoto and Fuyumi, I'm now the wife of the great chief Dakan, I'm very happy in the tribe, Mother, Father,

"I'm going to live the rest of my life here, if you want to come to know your grandchildren, you are welcome, I'm very very happy right now"
"I want more Hik Herbs"
