I think it is more the idea, text, font choice and implementation of everything than the actual animated effects - they just capture your attention the most. Most animated works on this board aren't really impressive because they are just rotating spirals or glowing lights. Having a general Idea what to convey with the manip and executing it this good is commendable.
So in other words it is a great overall work - not just the animation part which fits perfectly into the rest of the manip. The only thing that I can see is that the cut out frokm the original image isn't perfect, as well as the fitting into the background, But this is a minor complaint,
