The text size didn't really bother me, what did bother me is some of the colors you chose. They blend in with the background a bit too much, to the point that it actually hurts my eyes to try and read it (my eyes are very sensitive).

Echoing what the others have said, it's supposed to fade away. You don't have to strain yourself to read it, it's not much different from what they've been saying since the beginning =P
It looks intentional, as we see her responding to cues we can't read.

In my opinion, good writing goes a lot farther than a flashy animation when it comes to manips. Your writing flows nicely, establishes the context of the scene, and depicts the induction amazingly well.
