They also bear more than a passing resemblance to the sprites for Mindflayer-type monsters found in FFTactics.

Sabrith and Tayelle are Miqo'tes from FFXIV, and that's the monster model used for mindflayer in FFXIV. They're also being mindwiped to be the Mindflayers servants in this picture. (Source: I'm Sabrith!)
