In case anyone isn't sold on the MC, here's the story from the source.

"At long last, Risky has found a way to put the half-genie to good use. When Shantae recovered her genie powers, Risky was quick to re-steal the magic lamp that once contained Shantae's magic. A few weeks later Risky snuck into Shantae's lighthouse home and used the power of the genie lamp to "encourage" Shantae to perform for Risky.
