okay, I don't usually do this, because it almost always comes out harsher then I'd like, and I don't usually feel like I know enough to explain these things, but...
A basic tip for drawing faces:
1) find the chin and the crown of the head.
2) draw a line between them. keep in mind that because of the shape of the head, this line usually be a curved one.
3) use the line you just drew as a reference point around which to 'build' the face, again remembering that the head isn't flat and that you need to account for that.

in this case, you appear to have messed up step one. As a result, her head looks very badly deformed.

I don't mind getting advice and feedback. It's the best way for me to improve.

I actually do draw guide lines though when drawing faces. My problem here, I think, was slightly more that this was the first time I've drawn a head at an angle where the under side of the chin is visible, and I couldn't find any good reference images. Seems like most of the google results on someone looking up has the camera set above them. ^__^; I tried to give it my best try though.
