Technical Note: "Artik is the male personification of Artica, originally meant to replace hir but it didn't end up happening for whatever reason, but I still keep the char around since I feel the most connected to him as my own self."

In addition, as of the first "Breaking Artica" image (www.furaffinity.net/view/16679085/) image post, 28 May 2015, Artica reports: "I think I've settled in on the chars being brother and sister...it makes the most sense to me lol."

On this basis, I am removing the tag [genderswap] (despite Artik's origin, he is now a distinct character who co-exists with Artica) and replacing [artica_sparkle] with [char:artik_(artica)]. And I may pop through Artica's gallery to see if any the hypno-themed images of his characters are missing from here :D
