I am not an artist in anyway, but from a peer consumer standpoint, I see a greater quality now compared to then. In my opinion, the colors are much softer and easier on the eyes now (good thing). while the facial expressions are different, I also think they are better drawn here. Another thing that I notice, is that the eyes are better, however the eyes from the previous picture were good too. Overall, I see improvement in just about everything.
One more thing, compared to the past picture and this one, I personally think it shows how your style has grown into something of your own because any picture of yours I see scattered around now I can immediately recognize it, but back then it may have been confused with others.
TL;DR, It is much better.

some artists year to year development i know is extreme whereas i'm confused whether i'm actually improving or not, lol, before when i was just doing lineart and sketch it's very visible since i was only focusing on the anatomy, but now that color is involved...well...
