My first time colouring in a black & white pic using photoshop. Not brilliant. Dawn's eyes came out a bit fucked up but other than that I think I did alright for my first time.
You missed a few spots (a big chunk of Sabrina's hair, one of Dawn's fingers)--and I'm guessing that you used the paint bucket tool to fill everything in? That's fine, but you need to keep an eye out for corners and such that it might not reach (i.e. Dawn's hair). Here's a good tutorial: designinstruct.com/drawin...ed-line-art-in-photoshop/
Ah, that tutorial Apple linked covers things pretty well. If it seems kind of daunting, and you're confident you can handle all the colors on one layer you could just use a multiply layer above the original image though, then at least you can color manually without having to worry about affecting the lines. It's kind of a simpler method but it does have it's own problems.
