She's been hypnoed into feeling it as cold. It a theft/homage of an idea from an episode of the old TV series Charlie's Angels, "Attack Angels".

I wondered if the similarities where coincidental, but something told me it wasn't. You know, for a really cheesy TV show, that episode really wasn't bad from a hypno standpoint.

Yeah, it's always been one of my favorites. Fairly lengthy hypno scenes, by TV standards, and an attempt was made to sort of keep one foot in reality with the details of the MCing process, which I appreciate.
