Isn't spiral practically one of the essence of hypnosis? Also considered Poliwhirl can use Hypnosis himself?

General rule of thumb is there has to be a subject in the image itself, or it has to be clear the character is attempting to actively hypnotize the viewer or an PoV character. Just...spirals themselves aren't allowed.

triple: yes and poliwhirl's spiral has nothing to do with hypnosis it really has to do with the real life animal its based off you can see though its skin to see its spiral shaped intestines

While that's true, I'm like 90% sure the spiral pattern was why they had it learn hypnosis.

Actually, one of the pokedex entries on Poliwhirl discussed it using the spiral on its belly to hypnotize opponents.
