Well, it's not much but here's the mind control part in Episode 21. She shows up under the effects of the mind control in some of the later episode, but only for like a few seconds.

is mind control a thing they do a lot, or is it something the aliens decide to do for one story arc?

No, they only did it to Rita and a bunch of nameless workers in the last few episodes, and like I said you only see them brainwashed on-screen for like a few seconds.

well i havnt seen the latest episode but im sure she will still be mc'd :)
i really wanted to see both of them get it, lol too bad.
Also this is mecha has a good story so far, good enough for netflixx to be interested enough to buy it or something like that... i remember a few episodes had taken over a week to get subbed because of the netflix buisness thingy :p

I guess I'll still watch. Since there's still at least a pretty sizeable group of people brainwashed by aliens with glowing pink eyes :^)
