Also I'll just point out that the bit at the end seems like Noire still retains a bit of herself, like her preference for Neptune. The dom referring her by her name at the end reflects that. Noire didn't die when her free well was lost, she was merely changed. I think that was the meaning there.

So it ends on a happier note
