Funny how all pics on this site of Primarina are female even if they have a gender ratio of 87,5% male and 12,5% female. Why does one of the most feminine pokemon of gen. 7 have such a skewed gender ratio towards male?

Because it's a starter Pokemon. That's the case for every standard starter Pokemon. It's supposed to make breeding additional starters harder to do, but that's relatively moot since Ditto is a thing.

Huh.....never knew that......still perplexing that this is still implemented in gen 7.

I bought Pokemon Sun and picked Popplio, and it was male, which almost ruined the nickname I had for it. Then I played Pokemon Moon and picked a Rowlet this time, fully expecting it to be male. It was female.

I was so thrilled at my male popplio—my nicknaming theme for this run is PUNS EVERYWHERE, and the one I had in mind for my starter wouldn't have fit a female very well.

I named him Wayne, in case anyone was wondering... My main character's name was Wax, so it was a team effort between them to make it s pun—their names are a play off Pokémon Moon, and a Brian Sanderson reference at the same time!

More shameless pun names included: Cally C. Iam the Alolan Marowak, Bearaldine the Pangoro, Bitney Spurs the Mudsdale, Screwzie the Magneton, Zoidbird the disappointing Pelliper, Booregard the Trevenant, Frhonda the Alolan Exeggutor, and Mackerelmor the Wishi-Washi. :D
