I think it's time to name our hero now. If you can agree on a name for our hero in the comments, that'll be her name. Please refrain for naming her something like ''Hypno McHypFace''. I'm not accepting names like that.

Ok...this isn't fair!

Mermaids are one of my top favorites, I could hold out against the everything else but this after all all of that. I can on;y take so much!

And just a heads up to the "-IE" crowd, Josephine is easily shortened to Josie. And this way the use of an "island" name will work into her character arc as its an adaptation!

What? We're on an island fighting a god*, in a series that could easily be successful anime in its own right, its entirely appropriate.

This is a pretty tough choice, but I feel like HWD may be being kind. Remember that we HAVE to get to the Witch Doctor before sundown and sleep, sp we probably shouldn't tarry.

The bathing choice feels pretty safe and an ally would be nice,, but its pretty boring and would do nothing for our stats, if not lull us a bit more, plus it takes time.

Washing our face would wake us up and save time, but it'd spurn the first being to be decent to us in a while and that doesn't sit right with me. What? This is a role playing game is it not.

Moving on is a pretty middle of the road option, definitely reject some boon HWD is offering us with another option, but theres no risk now and we'd definitely make it to the witch doctor.

Dogpile!: This wastes time, HWD's implied the mermaid has a high seduction and its a bit rude, but we need to do something to assert ourselves ans raise our willpower, we haven't cum in a loooong time so we need to lower our lust and we have some decent seduction stats ourselves plus the ablity to diplomacise into her pants and she's implied shes down to clown. I kinda think HWD is throwing us a bone here and its time to dine on some fish taco while clam slamming. Plus this is juat the most fun option and thats *always* correct.

Oh also, sometime, even if its after the series over, would it be possible for you to give us a rundown of what all the options we HAVENT chosen wouls have down, because it seems like we've only rarely chosen the ribht one. Sorta a creators commentary type thing.

I'm quite partial to giving her another name that ends with either "i" or "ie", to fit the names of our allies.

What about Natalie?

Going right to my poll views, taking a bath actually seems to be our best bet - not reeking of sex will probably make future encounters slightly easier, and I don't think the mermaid's song will drive our stats down too far that we can't get them back up in the future.

Splashing water on our faces, on the surface, seems like an effective way to clear our heads - however, I don't know how the mermaid would take it. If she takes umbrage at us "staying dirty", she might try to dom us.

"Let her experience what she missed out on last night" is another dom option that's likely to backfire hilariously.

There's also an option to just walk off - no offense to hwd, but I don't think that'll get many votes. It's essentially a skip-this-bit option AFAICT.

I personally don't like it when someone has a first name that alliterates with their last name by more than one letter. I think it's pretty unimaginative.

Also I don't think "Natalie" sounds too much like the island natives - it's a perfectly acceptable name for most countries.

It's a running thing with the JoJo series so I'm also going for Josephine Jostar. After all Joseph Jostar was the best JoJo.

Only if you're fine with me being more tempted than usual to try and sabotage our chances. That's my name, and I'm very much okay with being on the sub side of things... ;3

(It would be a nice fit for this time of the year, though, as the name meaning references Christmas. Ironically enough, I'm Jewish. XD)

I like the point you made about 'ie' name endings, though... so how about Reverie? It's not a common name, but it's not unheard of, either. It works well with the theme of the game, as reveries can be defined as daydreams or trances.

Other options:

Alcie (meaning 'strong-willed'—a little extra help never hurts if you aim to win this game!), Damayantie ('making others submissive'—this one shouldn't need any explaining), Henlie ('a social butterfly'—we're certainly making a lot of new, er, friends!), Ishanie ('desirable'), Jenskie ('one who comes home'—we're trying to leave the island, if I remember correctly? We could call her Jen for short), Kearnie ('the winner'), Mashakie ('A troublemaker'—why not aim to misbehave?), Obedie ('the quality of being obedient'), Obelie ('off the beaten path'—which we've been throughout the entire game. :)), Orbie ('one who brings excitement'—ooooh, I most certainly hope so!), and Simoni[e] ('obedient').

My favorite is still Reverie, though.

You know what? Not to be Pink, but I think we should let her sing. Here's why.

1. She isn't glowing green.
2. She doesn't seem terribly enthusiastic about sex. It might still lead to sex, but seems less likely to be a "my little pets forever" outcome.
3. Based on her reactions, she doesn't sound like she has a high opinion of the island spirit either, so there's -probably- less of a chance that she'll go all "bounty hunter" on us.
5. Number four has mysteriously vanished.
6. Getting an honest-to-gods bath is likely to do us a whole lot more good than just a splash of cold water, walking away does us no good at all, and I honestly don't think we're in a fit state to dom right now - but failing at it would definitely have negative consequences.

As for names, my vote of the suggested would be: Alice.

I'd also suggest Yeesha, Charlotte, or Prudence as possibilities, though.
