Probably because Logan is right around the corner and that film's depiction of her is of a child than a teenager/young woman like most versions are.

well, personally I'm just glad to see my theory was right. when I saw Apocalypse with my mom in theaters and that scene with those guys gathering those DNA samples, my first thought was "Oh my gosh we're gonna see Wolverine's daughter

Fair play. I've followed her pretty much all of her stories now in comics so I've seen her grow from young teen to young woman, as 18-20 now in my head. So, I've worked past that mental block for Laura.

I just like to have an open mind. that can be both good and bad. bad example of an open mind, power rangers (super) megaforce. I wanna take the people who thought it was a good idea to include the pre-zyu suits and not give red or yellow a focus episode, and feed them to Master Org

She's only 16 in the comics, at least. As of this moment.
