had to blow up the image, hope it looks okay. I've had this idea forever, but when I worked on it as a written story it it kept getting put off. So I said 'eh's just rework this story as a manip.'

Actually, this may not be that far-fetched—according to supplementary material, <<digimon.wikia.com/wiki/Monzaemon|Etemon>> is rumored to be the identity of the digimon that supposedly controls <<digimon.wikia.com/wiki/Monzaemon|Monzaemon>> Monzaemon has one attack that creates bubbles to trap and induce euphoria in its targets, and another that fills anyone it hugs with feelings of love... so if an Etemon can control a Monzaemon, it could certainly use those abilities to capture and brainwash the girls.

(However, <<digimon.wikia.com/wiki/MetalEtemon|MetalEtemon>> is connected with <<digimon.wikia.com/wiki/Waruonzaemon|WaruMonzaemon>>, instead, and Warumonzaemon can induce depressed and darkened feelings in the target, sapping their will to fight, which wouldn't be as easy to use to craft this sort of new personality for the girls. Maybe he used the Monzaemon he'd controlled during his Etemon days?)

The metal coating and physical changes, on the other hand, can't be explained via wiki magic. Oh well. Still awesome, if very very unexpected (although even the justifiable aspects are that).

That being said... can non-Digidestine take the girls up on their invitation, even if we're terrible dancers? XD

The games give you a bit of lore for each in the log entries. They're also good fun, and comprised my childhood.

Researching is kind of my thing (which makes sense, as I'm a librarian IRL), and Digimon has always been great when it comes to worldbuilding and supplementary material.

I tend to do a bit of researching to when something catches my interest. I'm not a librarian but I am a bibliophile. But most wikias are just too much of a pain to look through for me.
