it still doesnt really look right to see a gallade using hypnosis, it's an odd, unexplainable kind of thing

I don't think that Hypnohub cares about canon abilities to hypnotize, even if it did, this applies, as Gallade can in fact learn hypnosis. So while it may be off stylistically to you (I guess?) there's no problem this would cause.

Edit: Actually I think by definition it is explainable as I just did.
