So, there's a new horror film by Jordan Peele (of Key and Peele fame) coming out in a week called Get Out. It's about a black man getting engaged to a white chick and she brings him down to her home town to meet her parents (who are unaware he's black). While he's there, he begins to notice strange things going on in the community, to the white residences overly friendly behavior to how all of the black people in the residence are bizarrely docile. However, as the film progresses, he begins to unravel a sinister conspiracy in the community and has to find a way to...well....get out.

In promotion for the film, six artists were hired to create artwork for the film and because hypnosis is a plot element in the film (the mother in-law is a trained hypnotist), one of them created this little dandy.

The previews make me Isabelle uncomfortable in just the right way for this kind of movie.

I've been fucking stoked for this ever since the trailer came out last year. It looks positively batshit crazy with a nice heaping helping of satire thrown in.

What an interesting turn of events, JaoShingan was making comments that the mod says he wouldn't ban for normally, but after a report was publicly stated, he got so angry that he then said the thing that got him banned, and rightfully so. He didn't get banned for the stated reason for the report, but an effect after the report was made. Reporting as a way to reveal people's deeper intention is so fascinating. Though one could say it could be anything at this point as hindsight is 20/20. While I personally disagree with what he said and I never intend to be a mod I'm happy that this place could be made a little better for short while.
