Seeing how shitty the Korra series and the stupid nonsensical ending I think this is a better ending for Korra. Let the concept of bending die down slowly and turn it into a legend rather than that clusterfuck.

ATLA is like the Star Wars the New Hope, it's so good and give good foundation for the story.
Korra need to be the Empire Strikes Back kind of story with bending fading into obscurity and legend
Then Nickelodeon can create a Return of the Avatar kind of story but nooooo.......
