They answered our goddam prayers and made what we all asked for, canon corruption brainwashing, i think we couldnt ask for more. (btw so many people caled it on previous posts its insane XD)

ps: the glasses are literaly called hypnoshades.

Nintendo has truly blessed us, first Mario Odyssey gives you the ability to take over the minds of all sorts of creatures, and now a main plot point in Splatoon 2 is Callie being brainwashed to work for Octavio. Keep it up Nintendo, please.

Welp, you just spoiled Splatoon 2's plot for me. Dammit, I was doing so well avoiding it only to get betrayed by the fact I didn't blacklist spoilers for any other game.

Just gonna point out that the octolings were being controlled back in splatoon 1. I want to say it was talked about in an interview, but It was canon back then as well.

i tagged spoilers for a reason sorry thats the best i can do. but dont worry thats not the most of the plot you will enjoy the rest a good lot believe me.

yes teh precence of marine in the game makes you understand that better especialy when you figth the first octoling, still makes me wonder why are the otehr tentacle octopuses so different

In all seriousness it'd actually be pretty hard to see Marie in this scenario :P But maybe if Nintendo did a what if scenario DLC/Update maybe I'd be proven wrong (Wouldn't mind that BTW~)

To be fair single player mode in either Splatoon is not the focus anyways and the actual story in either aren't exactly Shakespeare anyways :P
