i find it interesting how the transformed characters (at least their heads that are in their thoughts) are slowly changing into the kind that their physical bodies are! (through, i'm wondering how the dragonborn didn't ALREADY start looking like a argonian by this point!)
It might be the dovakhin's willpower or dragon soul. He's had the same argonian features keep reappearing, but the barkeep looks more like a kahjiit everytime he slips. He used to just have the ears, but now he has a muzzle as well.

That’s an excellent point. I had attributed a it to stylistic choice but I think you’re probably in the right. Plus, it’s a cute way to show their current level of cattiness (for lack of a better word).
