My first crack at actually manipping something, so forgive roughness around the edges. I don't typically go in for rape stories, but wanted to get something story-related to XB2 in here. Story spoilers ahead!

[spoilers] In chapter 9 when there are a couple near-misses of the Indol Titan firing at the World Tree, instead Amalthus scores a direct hit on the party, killing all of the drivers but Nia (who survived through her core crystal), and so all of the blades disappear except for Mythra the Aegis and Poppi the Artificial Blade. Amalthus uses his mind control powers to get them to submit to his men, who will condition them thoroughly until they forget their old lives as if they were normal blades whose drivers have died.[/spoilers]

... I find your idea rather abhorrent to be honest. If what happened happened Mythra would have died with rex, they are sharing life force and are directly connected since he's her core eater.,
