Serval is a cutie.

Actually, it would be an interesting idea if something happened at Japari Park, that caused all the Friends to suddenly lose intelligence and even their traits and instincts, and just wander around like mindless zombies, while Kaban has to find the source of what turned them this way and try to undo it, and she finds that she can actually order them around and tell them what to do.

So that she's at least able to get their help in the most rudimentary sense, commanding them with basic instructions, while she tries to fix it. Basically temporarily using them to fix the problem itself.

Mostly just a good excuse to have a basic plot, while having a great excuse to just show tons of them mindless and out of it, everywhere.
