I'm not really sure why, but when I look at the original version of the source image I get this version which has different lighting than the preview.

Edit: Mystery solved. This (the original image) has an embedded color profile (<<en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adobe_RGB_color_space|Adobe RGB (1998)>>) which doesn't display properly on most browsers, but tumblr converted <<hypnohub.net/post/show/66227/|the optimized version>> to sRGB.
