Inquisitional Log 436: IIIa
Inquisitor Sigrid Teufelswacht
Project: „Love and War“
Even if the rate of field executions tends to be overestimated by the general public and a few of my fellow inquisitors, every loss of life which could be avoided is in my opinion a dire sin against our Holy Emperor himself.
Sadly, exemplary commissars the likes of Gaunt or especially the industrious Caiphas Cain cannot alone bring change to their organization.
For this reason I’ve selected some of the most … dogmatic commissars and paired them with veteran guard regiments known for their tendency of insubordination. Beforehand both parties were treated to a special gene therapy by Magos Biologis Thera 7. It involved adding pheromone glands and receptors to their bodies, taking inspiration from a now thankfully extinct minor xeno species (nasty little buggers for sure, but at least stepping on their burned carcass produced a neat little cracking sound.)
The results are highly satisfactory. Executions stopped entirely and most as ‘punishment’ defined actions now seem to be rather pleasurable affairs. All the while the fighting spirit of the guardswomen is even higher than before, following their beloved officers and commissars with utmost zeal into battle.
A side effect is the staggering amount of romantically involvement between multiple officers and their commissar (included holo-pic shows colonel Valeria of the 1822. Cadian Shock Troopers and her regimental commissar Ragna Distell reuniting after a crushing victory against orcish forces). Without any measurable decrease in combat efficiency, I see no need to discourage this behavior.
Changes to the mental state of the subjects have proven to be permanent. For that reason we were able to remove the glands and receptors after a period of 6 months without any change of behavior. With that the possibility for our enemies to influence our heroic troops through some similar biological means is excluded. We will not make the same mistakes as our precursors.
I have subsequently recruited all three modified regiments into my personal retinue. Lodging for their officer corps and the members of the commissariat are in comfortable walking distance to my own quarters, so I can easily monitor them.
Thought of the day: You can defeat an enemy through fear, but you will crush his bones into dust through love.

Well, it was only a matter of time before an inquisitor finally tries to use erotic mid control for the benefit of the Imperium of Man.

I think Slaanesh corrupt this SO fast
I think Teufelswacht is a strong believer in the saying: Daily exercise, sex and love keeps Slaanesh away. The jury is still out on this one.

Dammit. I’m sure one of these radical Ordo Malleus guys leaked the recording. Those are the radicals you should look out for. ;)
