Tbh anything brain drainy would probably make Akko smarter

The TV series has a big, big problem with having Akko learn absolutely nothing, and constantly regress her as a character over and over. It might be worth giving the stand alone OVAs a try, as they work as a nice stand alone product without that problem considering its length.

The stand alone OVAs are a lot better. The series was a large dissapointment overall.

I will say that more Akko braindrain is better. More from this artist please.

Also shame about the show from what I'm reading Trigger really hasn't been able to replicate the awesomeness of Kill la Kill huh >.>

I think people are a lot harder on the TV series than it deserves. The original short and then the direct OVA/movie was a lot to live up to. And don't get me wrong, I wish the second half was better, but it's not so bad as anyone lambasts it for.

I examined my own feelings about it, and the main issue with the TV series is just a matter of personal expectations, where it took a while to do and everyone had their own vision of what they wanted.

As for complaints about Akko, I dunno, I and I think a fair amount of people did actually really like the idea of her starting dumb and getting dunked on for it, and her marked growth and progress over time as she learns to properly put the work in. But again, the second season's major failings besides its antagonist was the overall pacing, not even the ideas.

Anyway, I'm done for now, always passionate about LWA, I even reblogged and talked about this piece a whole bunch as well just because.

Always enjoy some Akko shenanigans.

I liked the show, but I do think it had issues. It could use some better pacing in some of the episode plots and it could use more Lotte and Sucy. There was a little too much focus on Akko, buuut... I actually really liked her and the growth through the story. I also like how often she got hurt :D

But the big take away here: More LWA hypno pictures! Sucy loves mind altering mushrooms, the porn makes itself!
