It's nitpicky I know, but why the Vex?
I mean it's actually in game that this bitch has been Taken (or kinda sorta anyway) by Oryx, so why use the boring robots?

Unless you know something I don't, she's definitely not taken in Destiny 2. But I mean, yeah, the Taken or Riven's corruption would make a little more sense.

Eh, well it's never on-screen.
I'm gonna spoiler this just for length. [spoiler]In one of the lore bits it says that that giant nova burst thing that Oryx's ship did back in the intro cinematic of Taken King apparently Takes everyone that it kills.
And so it was some ploy by her where she basically let herself be Taken, although since she's so special it didn't 100% work or something, because it would let her infiltrate his pocket of the Ascendant Realm, especially since she knew that the Guardians would kill him eventually. Apparently a similar process is how Uldren became vulnerable to falling under Riven's power.
Of course what this was all for on her part is still unclear, and we'll probably need about a billion more weeks of Blind Well completions before we ever find out.

Not how this works in the lore also she’s kinda a assented god don’t think she can be turned
