Yup. A lot of Fate series character are genderbent versions of legendary figures. King Arthur, Orion, Jack the Ripper.... Just to name a few.

To be fair some of it is less genderbent and more weird stuff going on. Like Orion is explicitly Artemis hijacking Orion's summon and jack is complicated.

Quetzalcoatl is lucha fan though, so you know best goddess. :3

The reason Jack is so complicated is actually quite simple: it is because Jack the Ripper is a fictional character.

For those confused, the Fate version of Jack the Ripper is an odd case where the character is not supposed to be the literal person who committed the murders, but rather the personification of a superstition surrounding the murders back when they were occurring. Apparently, some people back then believed that the murders were the result of the vengeful spirits of children that were aborted by prostitutes. Hence, Fate's Jack is a loli that is the embodiment of this idea. A vengeful spirit in the form of a child.
