Ah, I can't believe I completely forgot about the Furisode girls from X and Y! They had this unique design, though I think that they were mostly put in to associate them with the new Fairy type pokemon, similar to how Hex Maniac is associated with Ghost type pokemon and Swimmer with Water Type, etc.

Did they even appear in any of the other games? (ORAS, SM, USUM?)

I think they only showed up in the fairy gym in X and Y, but I could be wrong.

Yep. They were from the Fairy Type GYM in XY.

they show up in the Battle Maison and Battle Chateau as well

the Gym ones also show up in the anime
