Yea, both cultures should be kept alive, but the cultural heritage that was there before has more power. Cultures can only be kept alive if we let those of the same cultural heritage stay connected with each other. Now, I personally don't support every single culture (Glares at USA's health insurance system with hatred), but most of them are completely understandable. Some rules that are cultural in nature can I actually see being acceptable laws. But because most religions that have made laws that had to later be removed, those good cultural rules may not be added to the LONG list of laws.
