This is like, what, the sixth or so time the show has officially done hypnosis? Possibly even more since I stopped watching since the Changeling Redemption thing. So bizarre that the show is actually on it's way out the door, even if I have fallen out of it.

I can remember Season 2 premiere and finale, that one episode where starlight tranced the mane 6 and this, I wouldn't count Infestation Manifestation as hypnosis because it was a magical book

This is like, what, the sixth or so time the show has officially done hypnosis? Possibly even more since I stopped watching since the Changeling Redemption thing. So bizarre that the show is actually on it's way out the door, even if I have fallen out of it.
Yeah, I still like and watch the show, but I think it got a bit weird with the school.
Also I think Starlight is a hypnofetishist(?)

I can think of a few. I'll include some corruption, since that's a popular topic here too.
S2: Premier (Discord hypnotizes/corrupts five of the main characters), Finale (Chrysalis disguises as Cadance and brainwashes Shining Armor).
S3: Premier (Twilight and Spike are briefly possessed by King Sombra's spell), Magic Duel (Trixie is corrupted by the Alicorn Amulet).
S4: Bats! (Twilight's spell accidentally corrupts Fluttershy into becoming a vampire), Somepony to Watch Over Me (the Chimera's snake head has Kaa eyes), Inspiration Manifestation (Rarity becomes corrupted by a cursed book).
S5: Premier (Starlight Glimmer has a town of brainwashed citizens, attempts to do the same to the main six), Finale (AU!King Sombra has brainwashing helmets to force the Crystal Empire citizens to serve in his army).
S6: Every Little Thing She Does (Starlight mind controls the main cast, minus Twilight and Spike)
S7: Finale (flashback to the Sirens, also shows Stygian becoming corrupted/possessed, becoming the Pony of Shadows)
Shorts: Starlight the Hypnotist (see above)
Equestria Girls: Rainbow Rocks (the Sirens in their entirety, really)
IDW: Friends Forever Issue 38 (Luna tricks Celestia into getting hypnotized)
