It's not perfect, but I think it's one of my better pieces, especially that second half. Moving on, I missed that 8-day release schedule because of this but hopefully it was worth it. Sorry if you're not game for the slap, you might like the original version detailed below more...
Moving to the typical behind-the-scenes section!
The first part received a great response so I decided that I'd put more effort into the second part than originally planned. Originally it had no plan to be honest, but we'll say it was some selfcest of 2 2Bs (which both this and the first one has technically but it's only notable if you look at the arms of the POV dom).
Draft 1: gfycat.com/PleasingBigheartedEidolonhelvum The idea here was for 2B-dom to be searching for what caused an alarm and then sub-2B would then do... something to her from behind. Legitimately had not planned where I was going, I just wanted to animate 2B.
Draft 3: gfycat.com/AcceptableForcefulGoat Features a reworked camera move as well as the first step towards a VERY different action from 2B-sub from the final version. This idea was mostly me wanting to do the meme and go for the entire 2Booty experience and just doing what I thought was a pretty hot idea when I started. Sadly, I am not an ass man and quickly lost interest as the WWE Smackdown level slap quickly became an endless cycle of tweaks and reworks. I never got it to look quite right so the next few drafts will still have it to show that I tried to have it work but eventually decided a complete restart was needed as burnout increased almost to the point of me not wanting to animate the project further.
Draft 5: gfycat.com/ThreadbareOilyBuckeyebutterfly Brought an unsuccessful camera change meant to better showcase 2B-dom and swing around the scene. It was not kept after my Discord review squad voiced liking of the original camera move instead.
Returning to the drawing board after burnout from the original idea and exhaustion at getting that WWE Smackdown level smackdown to look right resulted in a complete restart after 5 days of work on the original version and resulted (eventually) in
Draft 7: gfycat.com/ElasticAdeptAzurevase A complete do-over. The entire animation restarted from scratch with the only goal to be continuing from part 1 in whatever way I found enticing. I polled various people on what they personally wanted to see before crafting a way forward.
Draft 8: gfycat.com/OblongAccomplishedIndochinahogdeer Shows the conclusion of the first half of the animation, which it was originally going to end at… but I felt that would be a terrible idea as nothing had really happened:
TO STEP AWAY FROM THE DRAFT SPAM, the POV effect here uses a bunch of “warps” to make the rest of the 2B not visible when she is not supposed to be and employs the Kingdom Hearts method of making sure the model’s head isn't in the frame, seen here: gfycat.com/HorribleUnawareBlackfootedferret It's safe to assume if she's not in the shot for a bit then her entire body has done a 1-frame warp away from the area.
Draft 9: gfycat.com/angryheartycolt Has a change in the starting grip after someone on the Hub Discord (I think Anno) pointed out how lifeless the hand was. I made it curve along the side of her face on the rightward swing and added 2B-sub’s nose flexing a bit even though it’s a good ~1mm from actually touching it if I were to showcase the video from a different angle.
Draft TEN: gfycat.com/TautCalculatingFirefly Adds in the orb seen in part 1 to convey 2B's change into a sort of love mode as the metaphorical soul is going from her head and into her heart.
Draft 12: gfycat.com/CornyDapperKitten Shows me finding the path to take as a love mode is thought of finally. The original message to Amateur (who was again a huge help in the creation process) told a story of an idea where the idea is "you don't think to think, you need to love" and then that carried itself into this.
BOUNCY BOUNCY: gfycat.com/CloseIllinformedGuineafowl (this is in the animation btw, but this was to see what people thought of the bouncing... Probably should've done them faster but that's hard to do). It was unclear to me how independent to make one breast from another as leaving rightie (stage) there still looked off. So instead I moved it 1/4th the amount of leftie for large movements and then 1/2 the amount for smaller moves. Then I offset rightie by 2-4 frames to show it responding to leftie.
I can't claim to know what anime this is, but I can't help but find this a little disturbing. I think the black background partially has something to do with it
