Not quite. Aerith has a thing for Zack, but a lot of fans battle between whether she or Tifa belong with Cloud. So it's a non-canon rivalry.

okay. from what little I know from the movie and an OVA, Cloud and Tifa are childhood friends and Tifa loves Cloud. and childhood friends are one of my fav kind of couples
